THE NEXT SUMMER
2020
The Next Summer, 2020
Oil on canvas, 92 * 122 cm / 36 * 48 in.
You will never know,
How many times have I fallen into a dream:
You covered me,
Like a sudden rain,
After the rain, damp hair was left.
You will never know,
How many times have I imagined your changing eyes:
Full of bewitching tenderness,
Like a midsummer wind,
After the wind, sweaty clothes were left.
You wear rain and sound of storm.
The drooping face hides the eagerness in my eyes,
How eager am I to have transparent hands to touch you!
This heart has been like a string for too long,
It is trembling where you can't hear.
Please stop looking at me.
I miss things that will never happen.
Let me be the eyes of a singer and the ears of a painter,
-Stand alone in front of the thrilling melody and picture.
Hope the next time,
The person who plays the string is no longer you.
