Northwestern University New Year’s Gala is Chinese international students’ New Year special produced by the association of nine universities and colleges in Chicago, includes Northwestern University, Columbia College, University of Chicago, SAIC, ITT, DePaul University, Roosevelt University, Loyola University Chicago, and UIC. The 2017 edition of the Gala drew more than 400 audiences to the show. Wushuang Tong played her original cello piece, Seven Inches String, in which she combined elegant melody in classical Chinese music with the gorgeous cadenza in Western music.
